Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
When you visit Yellowstone, the park IS the attraction. You just need a car, a set of binoculars, a great camera, and your patience. You never know what wild life you will see, and one of the first lessons you learn is to stop at all traffic jams--there is something important there! The geography changes numerous times driving from one part of the park to the next--geysers, hot springs, waterfalls, mud pots! Yellowstone has it all! And don't forget to plan a visit to nearby Grand Tetons National Park and Jackson, Wyoming.
Badlands National Park, South Dakota
Badlands National Park is the gateway to an amazing vacation in and around Rapid City, SD. One of the most beautiful parks in our nation! From here you can visit Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Custer State Park and so much more. There is even a paleontological site where you can see woolly mammoths who were trapped in a sink hole during the Ice Age!
